Happy Birthday Daddy!

Wow....Take a look at this man.....and you thought I was the CRAZY one!  He is 86 Years Old TODAY!  Daddy, I hope your day is awesome and Mother makes you beans and cornbread, or whatever your little heart desires....this is YOUR day!  I was just in Texas a few weeks ago....I found a man who is dear and sweet and wonderful.....a man who loves his family, his church, the good book, and above all, HIS GOD!  I found a man who sits with mother doing cross word puzzles....I saw a man who gets up early, starts the coffee and takes it into Mother every morning...coffee in bed....not bad!  He loves baseball especially his Rangers....He prepares his morning cocktail that consists of flax seeds and a number of other crazy things....he has been doing this for some 20 years....maybe that is why he has made it to 86!  He cuts up apples and fruit for breakfast....nobody can cut fruit like him...It looks like a picture when he is done....everything cut to perfection.  Mother always says, "If you keep a man long enough, they get good".  Well, he is good alright....but I would keep him anyway.  He struggles with the computer, remembering where he left things, and his hearing.  But if that is it, he has led a good life.  One of love and devotion.  He has two children, (one who is extremely cute), and 8 great grandkids, with 2 deposits in heaven......ALVIN GLENN LYON....You are mightily blessed and may God give you many more years to spread the love....and for heaven's sakes....the hat is YOU BABY! I just love it and may borrow it sometime!
